The most common conversation at our counter is about timing. It is always the same conversation. So here it is in writing, once.
An edible is food
Anything you inhale reaches your bloodstream through your lungs. Short trip. An edible goes the way a sandwich goes: stomach, then liver, then everywhere else. That route is slower, and it is slower by a lot. The useful number to hold in your head is closer to two hours than two minutes, and a big meal beforehand can stretch it further.
Read the milligrams per piece
Every edible in this shop prints two numbers, and they are easy to mix up. A jar labeled 300mg, 30ct is thirty pieces of 10mg each. It is not a 300mg piece. A pack labeled 100mg Delta 9 holding one chocolate bar is a bar meant to be broken up, and the squares are scored for a reason.
Where a product page gives a figure, the figure is per piece unless it says otherwise, and the pack itself is the authority. If a label is ambiguous, ask us before you open it. We would much rather answer that question first.
What we say at the counter
Take one. Put the rest away. Give it two hours before you decide anything about it.
That is our whole standing advice and we give it to everybody, including people who have bought edibles for years, because the thing that changes most between one evening and the next is the person, and the person is you. We are not going to guess at a number for a stranger. Come in and be less of a stranger.
Keep them out of reach
These are 21+ products that look exactly like candy. That is the honest problem with the whole category. Keep them somewhere a child or an animal cannot reach, and do not decant them into a candy dish because it looks nice on the table. Once they are in your house, keeping them out of the wrong hands is up to you.
No food dye, while we are here
There is no food dye in any edible we make or carry. Nobody needs a gummy the color of a highlighter. It does nothing for the flavor and it is only in there to make the jar look good on a shelf. Ours look like what they are made of.
